A delicious and healthy take on a classic chicken parm, packed with protein and flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix cottage cheese with Italian seasoning, salt, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
  3. In a baking dish, layer the chicken strips, followed by the marinara sauce.
  4. Spoon the cottage cheese mixture over the chicken and sauce.
  5. Top with mozzarella cheese and the remaining Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
