  • 4 pieces chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup dried apricots, chopped
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
  2. Add the chicken thighs, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is browned on all sides.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and add the dried apricots. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Cover and cook for 30-40 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Stir in the slivered almonds just before serving.
