Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground turkey
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup diced bell pepper
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 egg
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
8 slices turkey bacon
1 cup mixed vegetables
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, bell pepper, green onions, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, egg, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Wrap each meatball with a slice of turkey bacon and secure with a toothpick.
Place the wrapped meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the turkey is cooked through and the bacon is crispy.
In a separate pan, sauté the mixed vegetables until tender.
Serve the meatballs with sautéed vegetables on the side.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a bit of chili paste to the meat mixture.
Using lean ground turkey helps keep the dish healthier.
