  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook macaroni according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  3. In a large pan, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove, crumble, and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter, then stir in flour to create a roux.
  5. Gradually add milk, whisking until smooth. Cook until thickened.
  6. Stir in cheese until melted, then season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  7. Add cooked macaroni and crumbled turkey bacon to cheese sauce, stir until well combined.
  8. Transfer to a baking dish, top with breadcrumbs, and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden.
