Deliciously moist and rich, these dark chocolate blueberry muffins are a perfect treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugar, brown sugar, egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in blueberries and dark chocolate chips.
  6. Fill muffin liners three-quarters full with the batter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For extra chocolate flavor, add more dark chocolate chips.
  • Feel free to substitute fresh blueberries with frozen ones.
