Delicious and fluffy classic chocolate chip muffins that are easy to make at home.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just combined; fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Fill each muffin liner about 2/3 full with batter.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow the muffins to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For extra chocolate flavor, add chocolate chips on top before baking.
  • Make sure not to overmix the batter for fluffy muffins.
