  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Stir in the sour cream until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  7. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each liner about ¾ full.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can mix in some cocoa powder to the muffin batter.
  • Ensure your butter is at room temperature for easier mixing.
