  • 1 package chocolate cake mix
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 ounce dark chocolate, grated

Instructions

  1. Prepare chocolate cake mix according to package instructions and bake.
  2. Once cooled, cut the cake into cubes.
  3. In a large bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  4. In a trifle dish, layer half of the cake cubes, followed by half of the cherry pie filling, and half of the whipped cream.
  5. Repeat the layers, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  6. Sprinkle cocoa powder and grated chocolate over the top for garnish.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
