A delicious and hearty Amish Hamburger Steak Bake with a twist of turkey bacon, perfect for family dinner.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a pan, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then chop and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped turkey bacon, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  4. Form the mixture into patties and place them in a baking dish.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; pour over the patties.
  6. Top with mashed potatoes.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the patties are cooked through and the potatoes are golden.
